How to Update Your Theme Colors

Change your Shopify store’s brand colors in the theme editor so buttons, links, and accents match your identity.

Open the theme editor

From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes. On your current theme, click Customize to open the theme editor.

Step 2 of 5

In the left sidebar of the theme editor, click the Theme settings (gear) icon. This is where global colors, typography, and layout options live.

Step 3 of 5

Select the Colors section. Update your primary, accent, and background colors to match your brand. Preview changes live on the right.

Step 4 of 5

Use the page selector at the top to preview the homepage, product page, and cart. Confirm buttons and links look correct on each template.

Step 5 of 5

Click Save in the top right. Your new colors are live. Clear your browser cache if you do not see updates immediately on the storefront.
